High Wycombe, United Kingdom Experience Education Full time

**At World Challenge we are thrilled to be on the search for a dynamic Leader Coordinator to join the Leader Management team**

World Challenge is the top-tier provider of educational travel, enriching young people’s lives through delivering experiences that build lifelong memories. We’re the world’s first climate-positive school travel company, something we’re very proud of. With offices in the UK and Australia, our people are at the centre of the organisation - we operate an open and positive environment where personal development is encouraged and facilitated. World Challenge is proud to be a part of our outstanding Experience Education division at Travelopia.

As part of the Leader Management team, you will recruit and assign freelance outdoor Expedition Leaders to any trip requiring a World Challenge Trip Leader, ensuring the technical and facilitation skills of the leader are appropriate for the level of trip, as well as supporting those placed by giving regular constructive feedback to ensure they are set up for future success.

We offer hybrid working, with the expectation of 3 days working in our High Wycombe office per week and then the flexibility of working remotely on the other days.

**What you will be doing**:
Your key accountabilities for this role fall into 3 main areas:
**Leader Placement**:

- Collaborate with our Leaders to determine their availability and interests to lead with us
- Check through Leader location, skills, qualifications, and trip requirements, to ensure a Leader is matched with an appropriate trip
- Create contracts and supporting documents, connect with Leaders and School Leaders to confirm a Leader on a trip
- Collaborate with the Leader Management Team based in Australia to make international placements when needed
- Ensure Leaders are set up for success by collaborating with the Sales, Support and Safety teams, to be confident the Leader has the right qualifications and knowledge needed for a certain trip

**Leader Management**:

- Provide feedback (positive and negative) and debriefs to Leaders
- Complete any post-incident actions from trips/training events, in collaboration with the Support Team
- Support Leaders to get the appropriate qualifications and additional CPD
- Assist with identifying needs and opportunities for Leader skill development
- Regularly pro-actively connect with Leaders to ensure their ongoing engagement with World Challenge

**Leader Recruitment**:

- Provide each potential Leader who attended a LAC (Leader Assessment Course) with a debrief, and work with the wider Operations team to sign-off Leaders who passed the LAC

**What we are looking for**:
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident, engaging and effective all-round communicator, love building relationships with people and have the tenacity to ensure Leaders are placed quickly and effectively. You will be motivated by working to weekly placement targets and be calm under pressure when last-minute placements are required.

The ability to effectively balance workload and react quickly and efficiently to changing priorities is key, as well as an excellent eye for detail to ensure all requirements are met when placing a Leader on a trip. Strong administration skills and prior experience in delivering sometimes challenging feedback are vital talents. A background in recruitment or sales would likely transfer well into this position.

**What we can offer**:

- Competitive salary with annual salary review
- 33 days annual leave that increases with length of service (inclusive of bank holidays)
- The opportunity to buy up to 10 days of additional holidays per annum
- An enhanced employer contribution pension scheme
- International health insurance and Life insurance
- Travel benefits and retail discounts
