**Job Specification**:
The post holder will be working as an ‘ASK Apprenticeship Advisor’ for school establishments across the North East area, delivering ‘Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge’ activities in school/colleges to raise awareness of apprenticeships for students, teachers and parents.

This post is Ideal for ex-training provider staff with apprenticeship history and knowledge of the sector. The focus is to promote apprenticeships to school establishments and their students/staff/parent/guardians on the positive opportunities with apprenticeships from level 2 to higher and degree level apprenticeship occupations.

You will liaise with your ASK team to ensure full coverage of the allocated areas to team members have been contacted and appointments made in schools. You will report directly to the ASK Senior Contracts Manager.

**The main aims are to**:

- Contact educational establishments and positively promote the ASK offer as a free service to schools funded by the Department of Education.
- Identify and engage with the school careers lead and arrange a planning meeting (telephone or face to face) to book appropriate apprenticeship knowledge and support sessions
- Deliver the full ASK activities offer in educational establishments. All resources provided and training given for delivery of ASK activities.
- Update the ESFA ASK CRM system with all school contacts to ensure correspondence reaches the right person and confirm data protection consent.
- Become an integral part of the team working to achieve ASK Programme contract deliverables and targets, as directed by the ASK Senior Contracts Manager.
- Work towards achieving company KPIs and Mission, Vision and Values.

You will be working with the Senior Contracts Manager to:

- Ensure all evidence from partner organisations are uploaded on to the ASK database for evidence claims
- Help evaluate and measure impact of the project analysing stakeholder feedback
- Monitor and track all IAG activity related to the project aims and support the senior contacts manager to generate MIS reports.

Work with provider partners and stakeholders to:

- Gain strong working links with stakeholder organisations and identify sessions in establishments where partnership delivery can be most effective.
- Target schools which do not traditionally promote apprenticeships (Opportunity areas / BAME)
- Help arrange apprenticeship ambassador visits to establishments via the official YAANs portal or work with the local pool of apprenticeship ‘champions’ who will support delivery partners and attend some sessions in establishments.

**Additional duties, to meet the needs of the business**

On occasion, all staff are requested to support any other business objectives to ensure we meet the obligations to our stakeholders throughout the company. This may include instances of sickness covering admin activities across sites, this may also include supporting with school activities.

The applicant must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to allocated deadlines.

Have a disciplined time management focus, trustworthy, well organised and be committed to achieving company targets. Be self-motivated and can use own initiative.

Must have clean driving licence as their will be an element of travel to schools allocated within your region.

Must have an enhanced DBS check (one would be arranged once in post) and always wear company name badge for identification in schools.

**Essential qualifications/experience**:
Have excellent communication skills verbal, written and electronic.

GCSEs or related qualifications in maths, English minimum level 2.

ICT training/experience.

Project a professional company image through in-person and telephone interaction.

**Desired qualifications/experience**:
History in Apprenticeship arena, education, schools or training background. Working with young people preferably with some careers’ knowledge background.

CPD will be planned based on the needs of this post and/or individual, any changes in funding body requirements, technologies for recording data and company business objectives.

**Have achieved or be working towards Level 2 Math’s, English and ICT skills.**
