Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom UNW LLP Full time

**The role at a glance**

UNW is looking for a Human Resources Apprentice to join our growing HR team. You will support the HR operations with administrative tasks for all people projects, as well as studying towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Human Resources. On top of your apprenticeship, you will also achieve a Foundation Certificate in People Practice (CIPD) which will enable you to access a knowledge hub from CIPD - a leading organisation supporting HR professionals internationally.

**What you’ll be doing**

Working in people practice means that no two days are the same and we will make sure that you can get hands-on experience of all people related areas including employment law, payroll, learning and development, HR administration and talent management.

As your role develops, you will become our HR expert and first point of contact for people queries at UNW, but don’t worry - you will always be fully supported by the wider experienced HR Team who will make sure you have all the tools you need to develop a successful career at UNW.

**What’s in it for you?**

At UNW we pride ourselves on “doing the right thing” and this ethos extends across the firm, for every role. For this role, it means providing excellent client service to UNW team members and actively contributing to HR operations. You will quickly get a wide range of experience and exposure to day-to-day HR work, plus the opportunity to be involved with HR projects.

Your CIPD qualification will also allow you to get an in-depth understanding of current people issues and how your role as a people professional can contribute to tackling them long-term.

**Who is this role ideal for?**

We are looking for someone who is passionate about people and supporting the employee journey, but you don’t need any prior experience in human resources.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UNW is an independent chartered accountancy and advisory practice committed to delivering expertise that adds value to our clients. We act for enterprising businesses, individuals and not-for-profit entities including charities and academies, across a range of sectors.

With 14 partners and a 150-strong team, we remain an independent practice with an enviable pedigree, both in terms of the quality of our people and our client base.

**What makes UNW a great place to work?**

When we ask our team members what makes UNW a great place to work, time and time again they say it’s the people that they work with.

Supportive, friendly, progressive, flexible, inclusive, welcoming, approachable, ambitious, caring and fun are just some of the words they use to describe UNW’s culture.

And it’s that unique culture, built on hard work and a commitment to providing the very best service to our clients that sets us apart from others and attracts some of the brightest and most experienced talent to UNW.

Based in the very heart of Newcastle city centre, we are committed to creating a thriving environment in which everyone feels valued and proud of their work. No gimmicks, just strong support and genuine opportunities to develop.
