Personnel Specification

Scoil na Fuiseoige is looking for a person who is enthusiastic, hard working, has experience of working with young children and a high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to learn.

Essential Criteria

1. A good working knowledge of oral and written Irish.

2. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a Childcare related area, or willingness to work towards it, as training is provided.

3. An understanding of maintaining and working with confidential information.

4. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels from children, parents and other professionals.

5. Demonstrable team working skills, with the ability to take the initiative and to work flexibly in order to deliver the service.

6. Meet the physical requirements of the post in terms of lifting children and moving and lifting and equipment as required for service delivery.

7. A commitment to the ethos of Scoil na Fuiseoige and genuine commitment to working with children to provide a caring and professional service.

Desirable Criteria

1. A minimum of 1 year in a childcare delivery capacity.

2. Knowledge and experience of safeguarding within an early years setting.

**Salary**: £11.44-£11.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
