**Job Summary & Purpose**
Managing a team of Car Transporter drivers; planning and allocating their vehicle movements to ensure optimum numbers and ensuring that our customer expectations and service levels are maintained or exceeded. You will also be liaising with internal departments to ensure that information is communicated efficiently.
**Key responsibilities**
- Managing your own team of Car Transporter drivers, in relation to day to day allocation of loads, ensuring an optimum number of vehicle movements are planned and allocated each day.
- Undertaking future load planning for your Transporters, ensuring these are achievable with the Working Time Regulations for drivers of such vehicles.
- Check the weights on all planned Transporter loads, ensuring weight restrictions are maintained.
- Liaise with the Customer Service and Refurbishment departments to ensure that information is updated accordingly.
- Ensure that customer expectations and service levels are maintained with customers
- Provide all encompassing telephone support to your drivers, responding to concerns and issues in a manner that ensures resolution is achieved.
- Administer records and reports of Transporter volume and turnover.
- Assist with submitting information required for monthly payroll by the required cut-off date.
- Monitor all bookings for servicing and MOT for the Transporter fleet, ensuring the vehicles are made available for scheduled works.
- Monitoring defects and repairs on the Transporters in order to maintain a legal and road worthy fleet.
Competitive basic offered plus bonus. For this role you will need some experience of logistics/transport sector, ideally in an allocating role. Own transport essential due to location.
