The System Safety and Attributes Lead Engineer is a pivotal role within our high voltage battery pack product development team in the automotive industry. Reporting to the System Safety and Compliance Manager, this role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of system safety strategies and attributes to ensure the reliability, safety, and compliance of high voltage battery pack systems.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations applicable to automotive high voltage battery systems. Coordinate with regulatory authorities and certification agencies to obtain necessary approvals.
- **EMC Management**: Develop EMC strategies and solutions to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of high voltage battery pack systems with vehicle electronics and external environments.
- **Durability and Efficiency Optimisation**: Drive initiatives to enhance the durability and efficiency of high voltage battery pack systems through design optimisation and performance testing.
- **Verification and Validation**: Work with test and development team to develop verification and validation plans to ensure that safety and attribute requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct testing, analysis, and simulation to validate system performance and compliance.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate documentation of safety strategies, attribute analyses, compliance efforts, and test results. Provide regular reports to stakeholders and management on safety and attribute status and progress.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, testing, quality, and regulatory affairs to integrate safety and attribute considerations into all aspects of product development.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system safety, attributes, and overall product quality. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates to proactively address challenges and opportunities.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in system safety engineering or related roles within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations applicable to automotive high voltage battery systems, as well as experience in managing attributes such as EMC, durability, and efficiency.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, EMC management techniques, and reliability engineering principles.
