This is your chance to join a leading engineering consultancy that delivers projects for OEM customers in areas such as Transmissions, ADAS, Hybrid Vehicles, and Electrification.
As a Senior Functional Safety Engineer, you will act as a central Functional Safety expert across a broad range of consultancy projects. You will support system engineers by taking responsibility for the Functional Safety deliverables, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities as a Functional Safety Engineer:
* Lead Functional Safety activities according to ISO26262 for production automotive projects.
* Understand the intended functionality of systems within a broad automotive context.
* Generate necessary Functional Safety documentation, including Item Definitions, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis, Functional and Technical Safety Concepts, and validation plans.
* Conduct and lead FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and HARA activities.
* Lead Functional Safety reviews internally with project teams and with customers.
* Collaborate closely with system engineers to ensure safety requirements are met throughout project development.
Your current experience which will help you as a Functional Safety Engineer:
* Degree in Automotive, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering discipline.
* Professional engineering experience, ideally in Systems or Safety Engineering.
* Proven experience in leading and delivering Functional Safety activities according to ISO26262.
* Experience in developing automotive powertrain control systems, high-voltage electrical power supplies, Hybrid vehicles, or ADAS features.
* Proficient in conducting and leading FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and HARA activities.
* A valid UK Driving Licence.
