The Administrative Officer will support the administrative function of Ambulatory Wound Care and Lympodema. They will work with the clinical team to provide excellent patient care with the support of their colleagues.

The post holder will work with other administrative colleagues to provide an efficient and effective clerical service for clinical services, including the management of outpatient referrals, booking of appointments, and typing of clinic letters, in line with Trust and Departmental standards.
- Ensure all referrals into the service are dealt with efficiently in line with Trust procedures.
- Use clinical systems to search for previous records or register the patient as appropriate, ensuring accuracy in data entry and avoiding duplication of records.
- Deal with telephone enquiries regarding the booking or changing of appointments.
- Maintain referral and waiting lists and constantly monitor patients on the list to ensure all patients are seen within the required target dates.
- Adjust appointments as per departmental guidelines, adding or amending appointments to maximise capacity to assist in effective utilisation.
- Be a point of contact for clinicians regarding their clinics.
- Organise, operate and develop appropriate comprehensive filing systems e.g. patient records, general correspondence including storage of electronic data in accordance with the Trust guidelines
- Support the delivery of a comprehensive induction programme and training package for staff members to ensure they achieve proficiency on the core competencies required for their role.

Please note this vacancy can be appointed to a minimum of 22.5hrs (3 days) per week to maximum 30 hrs (4 days) per week.
