**About The Service**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contact Officer working with the Occupational Therapy team within Independent Living Services.
**About the job**
The successful applicant will be based primarily at County Hall, although some home working may be required.

The successful applicant will work alongside the qualified Occupational Therapist, providing advice and information regarding disability equipment provision, to the public, Health & Social Care colleagues and other agencies.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for undertaking telephone assessments identifying a need and agreeing outcomes with service users and carers. Interventions are likely to include equipment provision and non-complex adaptations.
**What We Are Looking For From You**
You will need to have a good understanding of the ethos of Occupational Therapy and the role of the Contact Officer within the community OT team.

You will have a sound knowledge of OT disability equipment and its use within the home environment.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to problem solve and provide outcome focused interventions.

**Additional information**
We are committed to your development and have well-established supervision and Personal Performance and Development schemes, training and CPD programmes where appropriate.

It is essential that you have experience of working proactively with clients with physical disabilities and/or older people.
