**The role**

In the role as Operations PC you’ll be working as part of the Operations Team contributing to the efficient and professional running of the National CBRN Centre with responsibility for the Intelligence delivery under the Protect and Prepare of the UK Counter Terrorism Security Strategy (CONTEST). You’ll offer technical, tactical and operational advice and support to the police service and multi-agency partners with specific responsibility for the creation and delivery of intelligence products.

**Role responsibilities**

Working as part of a team to maintaining and developing the multi-agency Service’s capability to respond to CBRN incidents effecting national security.

Handling and monitoring relevant Intelligence products to inform the CBRN community and niche CBRN partners on current and future CBRN threats.

Working with UK Intelligence Community Partners (UKIC) and delivering bespoke intelligence briefing products to the UK CBRN community.

Use police intelligence indices to inform intelligence products developed by NCBRNC Operations.

Completing and maintaining concise and accurate logs and records of live operational CBRN incidents, researching & identifying trends and intelligence opportunities.

Assisting Forces with planning and support of spontaneous CBRN incidents and pre-planned operations.

Producing documents and presentations for a wide variety of audiences on the role of the Operations Centre.

Recognising and highlighting opportunities to improve performance of the Centre.

Researching and evaluating operational deployments, identifying development needs and recommendation for improvements, where appropriate.

Participating in the on-call cadre of Duty Officers providing 24/7 support to emergency services responding to CBRN related incidents.

**Skills and competencies**

**Essential**:
Experience of creating and delivering intelligence products within and intelligence function

Ability to deliver intelligence briefings and tailor the product and language to suit your customer

Ability to effectively prioritise and plan workloads with a careful attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Ability to work autonomously but collaboratively and have a hardworking and reliable attitude

Hold a full UK driving licence

**Desirable**:
Competency in the use of MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook)

Hold Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation

Hold or be willing to achieve a CBRN Tactical Advisor qualification

Ability or willingness to undergo training to use NCIA and other IT systems at higher government classifications

Hold a Radiation Protection Supervisor qualification
