This is a busy position on an adult Trauma ward that cares for patients pre and post-operatively following surgery for a wide range of injuries. The ward clerk role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the ward.

This is a really exciting time to join UHD. We are a three site acute trust with ‘university hospital’ status, due to our partnership with Bournemouth University, delivering highly regarded health services to the county of Dorset, and beyond. We employ some 10,000 staff, with an ambitious £250m estates programme on the way to delivering state-of-the-art facilities to meet the current and future healthcare needs of the populations we serve.

Welcome patients and visitors to the ward, answer appropriate questions and provide relevant information in a sensitive manner, referring to qualified members of the team as necessary.

Undertake clerical and administrative duties on behalf of the ward; liaise with individual team members and other departments as required in a manner that will contribute to the effective and efficient running of the ward.
