**Salary £35,801 to £40,075 per annum pro rata (plus generous staff benefits package)**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skills Programmes Co-ordinator within our Work-Based Learning team at West College Scotland.

Who are you?
**You will have Essential**:
A relevant SCQF Level 8 (HND or SVQ Level 4) qualification and have A1 and V1 Awards or equivalent.
**You will have the following work experience**:
Ø within a defined industry sector appropriate to the role
Ø team leadership / people management
Ø mentoring
Ø employer/customer/stakeholder (internal & external) management
Ø demonstrable knowledge of Modern Apprenticeships, SVQs and Awarding bodies
Ø demonstrable knowledge on funding body contract compliance

What will this role entail?
- This is a critical position reporting directly to the Skill Programme Manager. You will support the curriculum team in their delivery of Process Manufacturing Modern Apprentices and manage associated SVQ contractual activity through onsite presence (circa 2-3 days per week) in Dalry, North Ayrshire. You will carry out timely Progress Reviews, complete New Start Sign Ups and other key activities to ensure compliance and quality are adhered to. Planning, communication and organisation are essential in this role, with high competency skills in Microsoft Excel.
- You will provide and develop strong working relationships with key employers, manage key employers’ requirements and business demands through regular travel to their premises primarily in North Ayrshire and Renfrewshire as well as our campuses, and be the key liaison in representing West College Scotland
- You will also line manage and support Work-Based Assessors in other sectors out-with Process Manufacturing Frameworks
- You will co-ordinate work-based assessment, standardisation and verification activities where applicable to the relevant Frameworks
- You will develop a demand for work-based learning through strong engagement with external and internal stakeholders
