One YMCA has grown substantially over the last five years and currently has an annual turnover of over £20m, and development programme of circa £22m and 500 staff working in a range of services across three counties to support around 150,000 vulnerable individuals each year.
Our strategic #Mission25 aims to substantially and sustainably achieve further growth and expansion within and around our current areas of geographical operation and areas of service specialism. This includes recently taking on lead management of the Airplay Contract across partner YMCAs across a National platform of RAF bases and major capital build and refurbishment projects.
Our extensive range of services currently include Housing & Community, Children’s Centres and Family Support, Youth and Children’s Activity Programmes, Early Years Nurseries, and Specialist Therapeutic Support services. In all cases supporting all those we help to belong, contribute and thrive within their community.
We are committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and families to develop the skills and confidence they need to progress towards independence and independent living, so they are able to live their life to the full and play an active part in their community.
This new role will support One YMCA in its commitment to make a difference in the local area through the services it delivers and the partner organisations it works with.
Working closely with team members in the fundraising, marketing and comms team, as well as the wider organisation you will be organising and hosting corporate volunteer and community engagement events, to build relationships and raise awareness, support and substantial amounts of vital funds for the organisation.
Flexibility, passion, innovation and drive will be key in this role as the location, day and time will be dependent on events being organised and attended.
The key elements of the post are to maximise fundraising deliverables:
- Work with service area teams to identify opportunities for corporate volunteer activities.
- Liaise between corporate companies and local organisation, and our service area teams to promote, plan and host corporate volunteer events.
- Work with the MCF team and wider organisation to identify, plan, promote and attend community engagement events.
Work with Manager and the marketing division to maximise reach and engagement, and revenue generation on all Corporate Volunteer and Community Engagement events.
