We are looking for skilled machinists for a client based in West Lothian. This is a leading company that prides themselves on producing a quality product.

Job Description: As a Skilled Manual Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing precision components that meet our exacting standards. You will be responsible for setting up and operating manual horizontal and vertical borers. Your work will involve interpreting engineering drawings, selecting the appropriate tools and materials, and ensuring that each component is machined to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate manual machine tools to produce high-precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Select and install the appropriate cutting tools and fixtures.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

**Requirements**:
Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a manual machinist (Horizontal and vertical borers)
- Proficiency in setting up and operating manual machine tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of cutting tool selection and machining techniques.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
