Focused on advancing our technology and integrating web-based navigation, the EHR will allow HCA UK clinicians and colleagues to enhance patient safety, and quality and continue to be the global market leaders in private patient care and medical innovation. Therefore, we are investing in a number of new workforce clinical leads to scope, shape and plan this change.

We are actively recruiting now for a 2023 start, its a pivotal role focused on all elements of Clinical Governance in relation to change management, transforming work practices, and project delivery of goals and objectives.

**In summary**

This a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical governance leader, as you will be part of a senior leadership team which will embark on a division-wide transformational programme led by the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Programme Director. This programme includes multiple workstreams across the business. As the lead of your assigned responsibility specialist area, you will take ownership of all aspects of the strategy, project control, change management and benefits analysis and ensure the platform delivers value to the organization in the short and long term. This includes end-user engagement, communications, education, go-live support, post-live support, optimization and transition.

**Specific deliverables and top priorities for this role are**:

- Accountable for the management of the clinical governance workstream supporting the delivery of an EHR solution, to cover the risk management and clinical safety considerations and regulatory requirements are met within the discovery, design, build, testing and implementation stages of the programme.
- Ensure that appropriate clinical risk assessment is undertaken at the relevant points within the programme, and manage and oversee the assurance of safety related IT software, ensuring suppliers and other stakeholders meet the required safety standards
- Ensure that all safety related risks associated with the EHR solution are actively managed and that appropriate mitigations are applied.
- Monitor the quality aspects to reinforce a safety culture and adherence to the Clinical Safety standards.
- Be a point of escalation and expertise, working and supporting across all the EHR workstreams.
- Provide management information on the risk management and safety aspects of the programme to the executive leadership on a regular basis according to the programme governance structure.
- Responsible for line management of a team of risk management, clinical safety and quality management experts.
- Progressive leadership experience and understanding of the healthcare industry as a Clinical Risk Manager, Head of Clinical Governance or Patient Safety.
- Previous ownership experience leading a large scale project team, with multiple resources and stakeholders to deliver a change programme.
- Ability to lead and direct a team.
- Pro-active collaboration across a matrix team to keep clinical quality and safety as a top consideration.
