Project Officer

Oxford, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time

**About the Role**

The role is full time and fixed term to May 2026 in line with the term of the University’s Local and Global Engagement Officer, as there is a roughly 50/50 split in responsibilities between the Local and Global Engagement programme of work and that of the Vice-Chancellor.

The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the University, and her office is high-profile and public-facing, handling an exceptionally wide range of business, much of which is confidential and/or of a time-sensitive nature. The post-holder will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced office, and will have a key role to play in delivering the Vice-Chancellor’s strategic agenda. This includes the work of the Local and Global Engagement Officer, who joined the Vice-Chancellor’s senior team in May 2023 to advance the University’s collective ambitions around local, national and global engagement.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Office sits alongside the offices of the Registrar and Pro-Vice-Chancellor in the University Offices, Wellington Square, but there may occasionally be a need to work at the office in the Clarendon Building.

**What we offer**

As an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing, and this is reflected in the range of benefits that we offer, including:

- An excellent contributory pension scheme
- 38 days annual leave
- A comprehensive range of childcare services
- Family leave schemes
- Cycle loan scheme
- Discounted bus travel and season ticket travel loans
- Membership to a variety of social and sports clubs

**About You**

The post holder will have excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills and will be able to work effectively under pressure. We are looking for someone adept at managing a wide range of relationships (both upwards and across), who can exercise a high level of discretion and sound judgement.

**Application Process**

Interviews will take place during week commencing 8 January 2024 and will be face to face in central Oxford, or online if required.
