This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding independent Psychology practice. The Purple House Clinic provides psychological assessment and therapy to both self-funding individuals and to funded clients. We offer services to adults as well as children, adolescents and families. We are a friendly, family-run practice, with strong ethics and firm beliefs in creating supportive and positive relationships within our team. Our main practice premises is in the city centre of Glasgow, which is where this post will be based.

The Purple House Clinic in Glasgow is led by Dr Michelle Muniz, who is a Clinical Psychologist and the Clinical Director. We have a team of self-employed Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Allied Health Professionals providing services in the city centre and in other locations across Glasgow. The successful post holder will be working closely with Tomas Garcia (Service Manager) and our administrative team, in order to help manage an increase in administrative duties.

**JOB SUMMARY**

To provide a range of administrative support within The Purple House Clinic in Glasgow.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)**

2. Liaise with Clinicians to establish their availability and suitability to take new referrals. Through use of an electronic diary system, book and confirm appointments for clients.

3. Manage existing cases e.g. monitor the requirements/timescales for written reports, and manage funding arrangements.

4. Manage the administration of conferences/training events e.g. taking bookings and making arrangements with venues.

5. Assist in the development of written and electronic marketing materials, or other company documents.

6. Assisting the Service Manager in the administration of invoicing and payments.

8. Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to regarding own work.

9. Where required, contribute to the induction of new or less experienced staff.

10. Maintain the security of sensitive, personal and other confidential information.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Qualifications**

Educated to Standard Grade/ Nat 5 or equivalent.

Educated to higher level standard or equivalent.

Qualification in computer literacy.

**Experience**

Previous experience in an administration role.

Experience working in a healthcare/medical.

Experience handling sensitive/confidential information.

Experience liaising with the general public.

**Skills**

Computer skills including Microsoft Word processing, using spreadsheets and databases.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and confidence in liaising with clients via the telephone.

Able to organise and prioritise own workload.

Some understanding of psychological difficulties and how Psychologists can help.

**Abilities/Attributes**
