**Location: Hybrid Working (up to two days per week office based - Birmingham)**

**Job Purpose**:
Responsible for the Digital Services Programme Management Office (PMO) function including resource management, supporting demand and prioritisation, reporting KPI measurement and people management of Programme Management Office employees. They will support project demand from across all Lines of Service utilising agile and waterfall delivery frameworks
**As a PMO Project Support your main responsibilities will be**:
- Develop PMO staff to support project and programme delivery - Hub and Spoke model
- Development and maintenance of project and program delivery frameworks - Agile / Waterfall (PDF/ADF)
- Oversight of project delivery and resource plans for all projects and programmes and reports on milestone performance across the whole portfolio
- Ensures a 6-month rolling resource demand and supply resource plan is maintained for all staff involved in the delivery of projects and programmes
- Provide project and programme reporting as required to include, but not limited to finances, business change impacts, testing, service transition, stage gates, risks and dependencies, delivery satisfaction
- Tracks and reports against KPIs and instigates interventions as required on behalf of Digital Service leadership team
- Coordinates training and development across all delivery teams according to an agreed capability matrix to ensure professional standards of project, programme and portfolio delivery are in place
- Facilitates engagement forums as required e.g., deep dives, lessons learned etc
- Supports the Enterprise Portfolio Office requirements across Technology Programme teams 10.
- Implements and maintains project and programme forecasting services based on pipeline demand to enable effective planning and decision making.
- Integration of risk management approaches across all programmes
- Develop, support and promote (leading by example) a strong results-driven and delivery focused project delivery approach ensuring the cost-effective, high quality, on-time delivery of projects
**You’ll have relevant experience in**:
- Expertise in implementing PMO best practices to support and ensure effective delivery of project/programmes in complex stakeholder environments
- Significant track record of leading complex projects or programmes
- Strong sense of effective and efficient governance practices
- Strong KPI / performance management development skills
- Experience in setting requirements for and implementing project / programme management tools such as, MS Project Online
- A deep understanding and experience of delivering waterfall and agile projects and programmes across multiple diverse business units
- Holds a certified accreditation in PMO or programme management qualifications, or has equivalent experience
- Problem solver who lead by example and brings people together to deliver and agreed outcome
- Preferable practical experience in delivering change via LEAN frameworks e.g., Six Sigma
- Experience in delivering business change to disparate teams that is not focussed purely on technology
- Strong Commercial skills with ability to negotiate and manage contracts for programme/projects dependent on external procurement /contracts to deliver outcomes
- Outcome focussed with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring of team members
