To provide a full and comprehensive medical administrator role to multiple consultants and medical staff within the Bolton directorate to manage and co-ordinate a team of medical administrators / administrators, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources.

The post holder will have line management and supervisory responsibility for the medical administrators / administrators and support staff.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination of the validation of all reports coming into the service in regards to data quality and data completeness. You will be responsible for the assurance of meeting all local and national targets.

You will be a well organised and experienced with knowledge of medical terminology. You will ensure all consultants and clinicians within your area of responsibility are organised and equipped to fulfil their responsibilities. Appropriate electronic systems will be maintained, along with coordinating their clinical activities.

To carry out all relevant tasks pertinent to the Specialist role of the Consultant Psychiatrist which may include:

- Administrative support on behalf of the Clinical Tutor.
- Administrative support in respect of the Postgraduate Teaching Programme.
- Administrative support on behalf of the Consultants in Old Age Psychiatry.
- Administrative support to Clinical Lead Consultant

All Trust sites have been designated a no smoking area. The post holder is therefore advised smoking is not permitted within the hospital premises or grounds or whilst representing the Trust in the course of their duty. While the Trust will not discriminate against employing smokers, all prospective employees should be aware of this policy

There is an occasional requirement to travel across the wide footprint of the Trust to attend training / meetings and events relevant to the role.
