**About the Role**

Acorns is currently the UK’s largest children’s hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported, and annual expenditure on our care work. We need to raise more than £10 million each year to run and support our care services and we rely heavily on the goodwill and generosity of our local community. You’ll promote opportunities for support in your area to participate in events such as overseas treks, parachute jumps, running events and more. You’ll prepare and deliver pitches, talks and presentations to a variety of audiences to gain both financial and non-financial support.

**About You**

You’ll have demonstrable experience of meeting targets and KPIs, with proven success at sales. You’ll have a track record of managing and developing relationships with donors or customers. You’ll be self-motivated to achieve objectives and probably have a background in sales or fundraising.

You’ll have basic knowledge of fundraising as a professional discipline and an understanding of the principles of marketing and PR.

There will be a lot going on at once, so we’ll be looking for someone with excellent administrative, organisational and planning skills. You’ll be able to prioritise your workload and be able to work independently. You’ll work with a few IT systems to manage administration and reporting so you’ll be highly IT literate.

There will be travel to several sites, so you’ll have the ability to travel independently across your allocated region.

You’ll have a passion for charity work and a strong commitment to the organisational performance and the care that we provide.
