Wates are looking for a Social Value Advisor to join our Wates Residential team as a residential community engagement lead. This will be covering the Cardiff area, playing a crucial role in establishing and maintaining positive relationships between the construction project and surrounding community.

We are looking for a passionate Social Value/Community professional within the construction and development industry. You will be able to evidence experience in a community-based role and have comprehensive knowledge of key customer objectives and agendas.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As our Residential Community Engagement lead, responsibilities will include:

- ** Communication, Outreach & Consultation** - Develop and implement communication strategies to keep the community informed about the project's progress, potential impacts, and benefits. In the creation of newsletters, WhatsApp groups and other required mediums.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement** - Responsible for identifying community groups and associations. Work closely with these groups and lead engagement initiatives, empowering community groups to support with co-design. Ensure that stakeholder opinions are taken into consideration to drive or shape key decisions on community projects.
- ** Community Hub Management - **Set up community surgeries and provision within the community hub.
- ** Complaint Resolution** - Work to find mutually beneficial solutions and ensure that the concerns of the community are taken into consideration.
- ** Community Education** - Provide information about the construction process, timelines, and potential disruptions to help the community understand the project better.
- ** Mitigation Planning** - Collaborate with the construction team to identify potential community impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
- ** Feedback Collection** - Collect and analyse feedback from the community regarding their concerns, suggestions, and overall satisfaction with the construction project.
- ** Compliance and Regulations - **Ensure that all engagement monitoring, and data collection is GDPR compliant, and all safeguarding compliance is always followed.
- ** Documentation, Recording Accurate Data & Evidence and Reporting - **Maintain accurate records of community interactions, feedback, complaints, and resolutions.
- ** Cultural Sensitivity -**Be aware of and respect the cultural and social dynamics of the community. Tailor engagement strategies to be culturally sensitive and inclusive.
- ** Considerate Constructor Scheme - **Support in compliance with scheme objectives, including attendance at monitor visits.
