Procurement Officer

I am seeking a CIPS qualified Procurement Officers (or equivalent technical proficiency) with demonstrable public sector experience to support the Head of Procurement in implementing Procurement objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leading teams to develop new contracts, including advising senior managers and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Promoting self-service procurement through training, coaching, written guidance, and the use of procurement-related systems.
- Having an advanced understanding and experience in utilizing e-tendering systems (specifically ProActis) to maximize its functionality and use.
- Providing quick and helpful advice to colleagues going through self-service, including templates, guidance, and developing strategies.
- Supporting the change management process, training, and template documentation.
- Working remotely with the expectation to be present physically in on occasion.
- Being a generalist in category experience, but prepared to specialize where required.
**Requirements**:
- CIPS qualified Level 6 or equivalent technical proficiency.
- Demonstrable public sector experience.
- Advanced understanding and experience in utilizing e-tendering systems.
- Experience in educating teams to develop new contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in supporting change management processes.
