We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior EHC Coordinator to join our Chilterns & South Bucks team.

Despite Buckinghamshire having a higher percentage of good or outstanding Early Years providers and schools than national averages, we are not complacent.

**About the role**:
As a Senior EHC Coordinator, you will drive forward the service’s vision alongside other Senior Officers by:

- Managing a team of EHC Coordinators to ensure SEND statutory services to children, young people and their families are effectively delivered
- Complying with Statutory regulations in the preparation and review of Education, health and care plans (EHC) in accordance with the Children & Families act 2014.
- Keeping children and families at the Centre of decision making in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014.
- Being responsible for managing the operational delivery of EHC Coordinators working in an integrated team with specialist teachers and Educational Psychologists.
- Providing expert advice, guidance and support to all staff, relevant colleagues and partners.
- Being responsible/ accountable for a small caseload.

**About you**:
To be successful in the role, you will need to have the skills to support the leadership of a fast paced and committed Integrated SEND Service, utilising your expert technical /professional knowledge and experience.

You will also need to be able to demonstrate:

- Education to Degree Standard or equivalent
- Experience of working with children and young people with SEND
- A good understanding of local area: Health, Education, Social care
- Knowledge of SEND reforms and the Children’s Act
- The ability to develop plans for improvement and implement Quality Assurance
- Experience of line management and leading teams through a period of change
- An sound understanding of the principles of effective performance management
- The ability to manage conflict and de-escalate issues
- A good understanding of SEND thresholds

Within our iSEND Team, EHC Coordinators Educational Psychologists (EP) and the Specialist Teachers Service (ST) ensure that we are able to effectively meet the needs of all children and young people with SEND.
