Job description

It is an exciting time to join our multi-disciplinary planning team. Our new Local Plan has recently been adopted and sets out ambitious growth for the District, a new Garden Town and the delivery of 11,400 new homes and 10,800 new jobs by 2033.

The role is critical for the effective implementation and monitoring of infrastructure delivery planning obligations and developer contributions, (as set out in the Epping IDP and Harlow and Gilston Garden Town IDP), including managing the collection and subsequent distribution of related financial developer contributions arising from Section 106 agreements and other mechanisms.

Alongside the support to this growth is the careful management of the environmental effects not least via mitigation measures in relation to the Epping Forest Special Area of Conservation.

In addition is the opportunity to support the implementation and monitoring of Biodiversity Net Gain requirements in late 2023.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual with relevant experience of working in infrastructure delivery, planning obligations and developer contributions, to work with us to embrace the key challenges and opportunities to deliver the planned growth within our District.
