We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual as a New Product Innovation (NPI) Project Management and Engineering Assistant, to provide critical support to our NPI Programme/Project Managers and Engineering team and ensuring the successful planning, execution, and launch of new products.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage project documentation, assist in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of our NPI projects. In additional you will contribute to the Global Engineering community. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires excellent organizational skills, proactivity and interest in project management and engineering.

**This role will focus on**:

- Operate within the PMO team of NPI Programme and Project Managers contributing to process development, improvement and consistency.
- Manage and support a number of projects across the Global NPI Portfolio as required
- Work towards obtaining an accredited Project Management qualification
- Collaborate and communicate efficiently as part of a globally diverse, cross-functional team
- Create and distribute department comms such as welcoming new starters, celebrating product launches, internal promotions, changes to existing processes etc.
- Oversee general departmental training bookings and project and department meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes as required
- Provide routine administrative assistance to support NPI projects and department deliverables - including booking travel, organising lunch/room bookings/visitor inductions, maintaining the NPI SharePoint site and Global Engineering Managers teams site, and managing the NPI New Process library.
- Maintain department calendars and coordinate events and activities across the Global NPI team
- Provide support to the Strategic Sourcing team in raising purchase orders, processing CEA requests, and on-boarding new suppliers
- Assist in the implementation of new software tools such as Power BI alongside the Global NPI Programme Manager and PMO Lead
- Collaborate with other departments across the business and work closely with the PMO Lead and associated Head of Engineering Initiating projects - verifying feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources.
- Develop and manage robust project definitions, timelines, and budgets for projects ranging from ideation to commercialisation.
- Lead, motivate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, supply, supply chain and associated business stakeholders to define and deliver project requirements and deliverables in accordance with the necessary governance processes.
- Ensure that all project milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the expected level of quality.
- Identify and manage risks through proactive mitigation.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project budgets.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure that everyone is informed about project progress, issues, and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices for projects.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Relevant educational (e.g. Bachelors degree) or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or related field
Interest in continuous personal and professional development
- Previous experience in a project management or engineering support role, preferably in an applicable fast paced environment.
- Experience with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, JIRA, or equivalent.
