Switchboard Receptionist

The Switchboard role provides an effective, efficient and customer-focused service to all callers to the Greater Manchester Police. You will receive and action all incoming calls to the centre including internal and external customers, answering in a timelymanner to ensure the Contact Centre meets Branch and Force performance targets and to ensure high standards of customer service are met.
We are looking for flexible people who can work shifts. This will be rewarded with market beating enhancements to pay. No experience is required as we provide extensive training giving you the knowledge you will need to effectively manage contact.

**Switchboard receptionist Key responsibilities**
- The contact management team at Greater Manchester Police respond to 2 million calls for help annually. As a part of our team you will demonstrate compassion, resilience, respect, problem solving and teamwork.
- You will be on the frontline, helping people and responding to some of the most difficult situations. This is a tough role but rewarding - your contribution will make a difference to the people and communities of Greater Manchester and will save lives.
- You will be responsible for managing digital and telephone contact. You will have the ability to remain calm, work well under pressure and identify and record vital details quickly and accurately.
- You will have excellent communications skills, the willingness to continually develop your skills and knowledge, and a clear, victim-centred focus.
**Switchboard Receptionist Key rewards**
- These posts attract 20% shift allowance and 15.45% weekend enhancement. The basic salary is £19,149 p/a however, with allowances added this will equate to c. £25k p/a.
