Receptionist Administrator

Main Purpose of Job:
Providing receptionist and general information services for all users visiting any of the Belfast City Council city centre premises.
Operating the retail area located at the reception area in City Hall and any additional retail areas established at Belfast City Council city centre premises.
**Your Duties**:
- Carry out Reception Administrator duties at assigned Belfast City Council city centre premises.
- Deal effectively and efficiently with tourists, visitors, the public, council members, and staff.
- Handle reception desk inquiries, display relevant council information, issue visitor and contractor passes, provide directions, assist with income reconciliation, and manage retail areas.
- Assist with tour bookings, routine business-related activities, data input, and compilation of statistical information.
- Compile and update relevant information on services provided by Belfast City Council and external bodies.
- Assist with reception administration operations at exhibition facilities and adhere to evacuation procedures.
- Operate internal public address systems, update visitor information points, and answer incoming calls.
- Assist with postal requirements and the induction/training of new reception staff.
**Your Profile**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- At least one year of relevant experience in providing reception service and dealing with inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Strong organisational, work planning, and team-working skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and a good understanding of basic health and safety responsibilities.
- Applicants must have at least five GCSEs (grades A-C) including English or equivalent qualifications.
