We are pleased to announce we have a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer.

This post has been created in response to the Government’s Supported Housing Improvement Programme focussing on non-commissioned supported accommodation. Therefore the post holder will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working within the Revenue and Benefits division of the Council. Liaising and working closely with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies and colleagues across the Council will be crucial, inclusive of close liaison with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.

**Essential Criteria**:

- A degree or diploma in Environmental Health and a certificate of registration issued by the EHRB or equivalent.
- A specialism **in at least one** of the following areas, but with the knowledge and ability to work in any of the fields below as required:
Housing standards

Housing licensing and compliance
- Demonstrate experience and the ability to direct investigations resulting in prosecutions or other legal sanctions in accordance with relevant procedural and evidential rules.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, supporting, coaching and collaborating to achieve positive outcomes for citizens residing in supported accommodation
