We have an exciting opportunity to work on a project to explore and identify novel biomarkers for the prediction of premature birth funded by a Korea UK research partnership grant. The aim of the project is work with a multidisciplinary team to investigate and confirm new biomarkers of preterm birth in human vaginal fluid and serum.

You will work within the team to analyse the stated human biofluids Working as part of a small, friendly and enthusiastic team you will play key roles in those aspects of the project that demonstrate its utility singly or in addition to other approaches to accurately predict preterm birth.

You should have a good honours degree in Science (Physiology / Molecular Biology), preferably completed a PhD, in a relevant specialism and have experience of both software and hardware development. Expertise in spectroscopic techniques and principles would be desirable. Good understanding of Good Clinical Practice in Research within the NHS will be desirable.
