**Employee Relations Specialist**

As a well-established and highly regarded HR and Training Consultancy in Gloucestershire

and the surrounding counties, we are looking for an experienced Employee Relations

Specialist to lead the HR side of our business. This is an exciting opportunity for an

experienced ER Specialist to join our team to service the HR needs of our established and

diverse clients and to coach and enable them to deliver 21 st Century people management

solutions. This is a client-facing consulting role that aims to support our clients to deliver

their people plans in their pursuit of business growth.

**The role**
- Client Consultation: You must be able to provide high quality ER advice to Business Managers and HR leaders. You’ll be a key point of contact for clients, providing legally compliant advice on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, and workplace investigations.
- Investigations: At times you’ll be required to conduct thorough and impartial investigations into grievances, disciplinary matters and appeals, ensuring compliance within UK legal frameworks. You’ll be expected to prepare comprehensive fact
- finding reports and recommendations on appropriate actions.
- Restructures: You’ll need to collaborate with clients undergoing restructuring to develop detailed plans to support their needs and then guide them through a collective and individual redundancy process that aligns with UK legal framework. At times there may be a need to assist clients that have operations in other jurisdictions.
- Policy and Procedure Development: In addition to maintaining template policies and procedures that align with best practice and employment law, you’ll need to collaborate with clients to review documents that consider their specific organisational culture and regional nuances.
- Workplace Mediation and conflict resolution: We’ll expect an ability to facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts between parties in accordance with employment practices to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
- Training & Development: Experience in delivering training and workshops to educate client’s management teams and employees on HR related topics is expected.
- Legal Compliance: Keeping yourself updated on evolving employment legislation and trends to ensure all employee relations practices and process comply with legal requirements goes without saying.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: You’ll be required to maintain meticulous records of employee relations matters, including investigations, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations, so attention to detail is a must.

**Additional duties**:

- Facilitation of employee relations (ER) advice encompassing policies, procedures, governance, and HR training.
- Serve as the main point of contact and thereby cultivate trusted, credible partnerships with clients by providing excellent ER guidance and solutions for all cases from the non-complex through to intricate, high-risk cases.
- Take ownership of and oversee the Employee Relations workload and deliver expertise, assistance, coaching, and guidance to our clients. Undertake ad hoc HR project work, deliver HR training.
- Manage all Employee Relations policies, crafting them as needed, and ensuring compliance with processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Recognise and contribute to sales and business development opportunities, focusing on delivering in the area of Employee Relations/HR.
- Regularly assess your own performance, delivery, satisfaction, and quality, implementing proactive measures when service levels fall short.
- Maintain an unwavering commitment to continuous enhancement. Furthermore, share accomplishments and obstacles to ensure mutual comprehension across teams and to aid in issue resolution.
- Deliver the ER KPIs for the business along with ad hoc reports.

**What you will need**:

- Experience in a human resources environment, preferably several, with an emphasis on employee relations.
- Proficiency in managing intricate case scenarios, such as disciplinary and grievance investigations, performance evaluations, TUPE and managing both short and long
- term absences, as well as mental health and stress-related matters.
- Demonstrable capability to establish trust and rapport and serve as a reliable advisor, including the capacity to challenge perspectives and propose alternative solutions.
- A proactive work ethic, characterised by initiative, self-leadership, and a strong drivto excel.
- The ability and capacity to manage a large volume of client concerns concurrently.
- A high level of learning agility to grasp
