**About the role**

We want to help bring together communities and organisations which provide groups and activities to support people with their mental wellbeing. You will play a key role in ensuring that people who use Access Mental Health in Wiltshire are able to take part as widely as possible in their local communities through participating in welcoming and supportive groups and activities.

A 2019 Rethink Report found that 50% of people said they were not involved in community wellbeing projects, for example gardening, arts and crafts or social clubs - mostly because they did not know what projects were available in their area (61%).

We know that across the county there are many inspirational groups and activities that already exist to help people gain a sense of belonging, purpose and satisfaction. The role of the Group Co-Ordinator will be to make sure that people who use our services are supported to access these groups and activities to strengthen their social connectedness, develop new skills and feel able to participate in their own local area.

This role will focus on mapping the offer across Wiltshire in terms of social, educational and support groups. It will establish relationships with those leading groups and support the Access Mental Health team to access these more widely and focus on faith communities to ensure a diversity of options.

Your role will be a field-based position where you will work flexibly whilst covering the geographical area of Wiltshire. Initially it is anticipated that you will working from home on average two day a week, but this is likely to change. You will work full time, 35 hours per week on a permanent basis with a salary of £26,871. The role includes some evening and weekend working.
