Purchasing Administrator

VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting one of our major clients in **Belfast** with the recruitment of a **Purchasing Administrator **to join their expanding team.
This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.
This is a Monday - Friday Permanent opportunity.
**Salary**
£24,000 - £27,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace
**Responsibilities**:
- Supporting engineers in sourcing suppliers and managing purchasing activities.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Liaising with clients.
- Data input and processing.
- Uphold Data Protection Policies.
- Undertake any other duty deemed necessary by Management, to ensure the efficient running of the business.
**Essential Criteria**:
- 1 year’s previous purchasing or administration experience within a busy office environment.
- A strong understanding of purchasing processes, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and managing purchase orders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience gained within a plant / engineering company.
