**Production Purchaser & Scheduler**

ASG is a market leading brand name in vehicle and lifestyle accessories. The company operates internationally and continues to expand due to strong demand for their premium quality products. We sell directly to vehicle manufacturers/importers, car dealerships and distributors worldwide as well as online via our in-house developed e-commerce platform and other online sales channels.

Due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced Production Purchaser & Scheduler with proven experience of using and managing ERP, MRP, Scheduling, BOMs and Routings related software in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

This is an exciting position for a confident and experienced person who is organised, diligent and proactive, with a proven track record of working to tight deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.

One of the prime responsibilities for this role is to ensure that our Production department can achieve our customer’s requirements by ensuring the correct resources & equipment are available when needed. Other responsibilities include:

- The receipt and acknowledgement of Customer orders and schedules
- Processing these into works orders for production and ordering purchased requirements using our dedicated ERP System (Syspro)
- Receiving internal purchasing requisitions, interpreting requirements & ensuring products/services are purchased using Approved Suppliers or appropriate suppliers/products/services
- Negotiating prices (cost control)
- Ensuring the products/services are delivered on time by expediting and progress chasing where necessary
- Maintaining and improving the quality of services/products purchased
- Carry out stock control (production and non-production items, consumables etc.)
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers plus seeking new ones
- Developing and interpreting reports to monitor and deliver improvements
- Identify and implement areas for systems improvements

**Required skills & experience**:

- Experienced of working in a manufacturing environment
- Production scheduling and balancing varying priorities
- Knowledge of best practice in Purchasing & Supplier management processes
- Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues & suppliers

39 hrs per week - Monday - Friday (early finish Fridays) 25 days holidays per year plus bank holidays
