New Malden, United Kingdom Korea Foods Company Full time

COMPANY:
Korea Foods Company is the leader in the supply of Korean food in the UK. A family-run business, established in 1999, Korea Foods Company has around 400 employees working within its Head Office, Logistics Centres, and Retail Stores.

We import from key brands in Korea, and distribute to the Asian community, focusing on East Asian consumers. We have also seen substantial growth within the supermarket multiples, securing significant listings with Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, and Costco.

We also operate our own retail store network, currently with 17 stores within the estate.

We are currently undergoing a change programme, improving our infrastructure, expanding our retail network, and working on new opportunities within the mainstream sector.

The company is an incredibly dynamic place to work, with ambiguity and transparency that is often associated with family-run businesses. It is, also, whilst not for the faint-hearted, a rewarding workplace where personal achievements are recognised due to the relatively flat management structure.

JOB DETAILS:
Our Commercial Team looks after activities in the mainstream market, focusing on the supermarket multiples. The team looks after all associated communication related to our customers, both internally and externally. The team looks after several key Korean brands that have increased its presence in the UK the last ten years, and develop new opportunities on a constant basis, even during the pandemic. With increased activity in this sector, the Commercial Team are looking for an additional member of the team to make a difference and develop themselves with our established customers.

The Role:
The Key Account Specialist will support the Commercial Team, maintaining and developing opportunities with both existing customers and the development of new customers, and supporting the supply chain function between our distribution centre and our customers. The Key Account Specialist will have full visibility of all activities of the department.
- Ideally will have a minimum 2 years’ experience working with at least one of the “Big Four” multiples, at a similar level, with a solid understanding of how their supply chain operates.
- Must have excellent computer literacy and presentation skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Be highly self-driven, with exceptional organisational skills.
- Be able to absorb and assess operational issues, and then be able to identify solutions with a can-do attitude.
- Be flexible to the needs of the company in a challenging environment.
