**Residential Childcare Worker**

**Location**: Kilmarnock

**Contract**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum; depending on experience and qualifications

21 HSC are looking to recruit 2 Residential Childcare Workers on an exclusively retained basis for one of our clients based in Kilmarnock. It is a full-time role working 12 hour shifts 4 on / 4 off. This will include some weekend work. There is also personal care involved in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To work with children and young people with disabilities in an inclusive, nurturing, and person-centred way, promoting their best interests and needs at all times.
- To work in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievement.
- To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of the children and young people.
- To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of the children and young people.
- To liaise and collaborate positively with parents and partner agencies to ensure that the best interests of the young people are always respected and promoted.
- To monitor, track, measure, and evidence outcomes for all young people in a person centred and young person focused way.
- To promote and embed the GIRFEC framework and SHANARRI indicators into practice.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Ideally you will possess an SVQ 3 in Social Care (Children & Young People) and your HNC in Social Services or equivalent. Or you must be willing to work towards these qualifications.
- Ideally you will have previous experience working with children & young people within a residential setting.
- You must be registered with or willing to register with the SSSC as a Residential Child Care Worker.
