**About us**

**About the role**

Junior People and Talent Partner

Full time Permanent London (hybrid)

Reports to the VP Peopl**e**

**Summary of the role but also what our team are up to**:
This is a true generalist role that will enable you to see, experience and influence the full life cycle of Go City colleagues. You will be up for ‘rolling up your sleeves’ and getting stuck into the full landscape of what it means to work in a People Team. What will you be responsible for /helping us to do? This role has a dual focus which will mean you can get right to the heart of our People at Go City. It is anticipated to be a split of 70% People Ops/Advisory work and 30% Talent.

**In the scope of the** **Partnering world, we would be looking for you to;**
- Collaborate with managers and leaders to understand their teams inside out, their wins, their frustrations and be a commercial confidante for them where you can support but challenge.
- Build strong relationships with the leaders where they come to you ahead of time with problems that need solutions and not just expect you to fight those fires
- We never want to just throw the textbook at our People so we would want you to think creatively how to problem solve with them whilst staying in the realms of legality as well as moral kindness.
- Be super data literate and enjoy poking around in the data for your stakeholders. It could be sickness levels, benefit uptake, development or hiring numbers. Keep our HRIS - Bamboo up to date and an accurate reflection of our population so that other members of the People team have quick and easy access to up-to-date data across the globe Ideate how to make systems or processes easier and more human for all of our colleagues.
- Contribute to wider People team projects to be rolled out globally with the VP People and the People Partner on employee engagement, performance management, reward principles updated outdated docs like our People Pack (we have wanted to do this for years) and skills analyses.
- Work closely with our external legal team on anything related to sponsorship and visas for our existing and incoming colleagues. Whilst the focus is predominantly on advising and partnering key stakeholders, you will also be responsible for the end-to-end cycle of Go City’s recruitment. We expect that to be around 30% of your time. Don’t worry it sounds a lot but the Managers are super self-sufficient, and we have all the foundations set up and integrated ATS in place.

**This means in the scope of Talent; we would be looking to you to**:

- Oversee the journey from advertising to offering on those times when a role comes up
- Help with reviewing job descriptions (running them through bias calculators etc)
- Post job ads through Workable and manage our various sourcing platforms including LinkedIn Teach our Leaders how to use any new features or functions on the system, but also being comfortable to challenge them on their hiring asks when they sometimes sound a little too extreme
- Help them to coordinate interviews, give feedback and the fun bit, offering.
- Think of creative ways to attract brilliant and diverse top talent and be up for networking events and seminars on a regular basis.
- We support a culture where Health and Safety, Wellbeing and Personal Data at work are important. We are all adults, which means we expect the same in return. Each of us plays our part looking out for ourselves, each other, our Partners, and our customers every day.
- Commitment to live and breathe our Company values in the delivery of your role and responsibilities.

As you can see, this role covers a wide range of responsibilities, but we know that our People are more than just their job description. We are a team here at Go City which means there will be plenty of opportunities to stretch your thinking, expand your knowledge and make a contribution to the wider business not reflected here.

**Requirements**:
**What skills do you have that are essential in this role?**
- You absolutely must really be a passionate ‘people’ person and by this we mean the role (you don’t have to love everyone) Really on point communication skills with an awareness and understanding that people communicate differently and be able to flex your style
- Really intricate levels of attention to detail - we work in a career where the smallest words or changes in numbers can have the biggest impact - we want you to always have a detective hat on Be super system savvy and able to automate as many processes as possible. If you are a new founded AI wizard - we are all up for learning from you too Consider yourself a bit of a coach, and someone who can balance commercial needs with what is the human thing to do
- Knowledgeable of UK employment law is essential. US and EMEA are useful but not a must
- Be able to say those nice nos. By this we mean, knowing when to prioritise and how to do it well
