**Job Purpose**

To deliver excellence within the standards of tutoring to ensure that learners on the BTEC Level 3 programme achieve their outcomes and reach their full potential. To ensure that young people develop and feel supported whilst developing their skills, experience and working toward achieving qualifications.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

**1**. Make positive contributions towards the BTEC programme with the Foundation’s Post-16 Education team.
**2**. Prepare, maintain and develop schemes of work, teaching resources and other associated materials relevant to the course and where appropriate.
**3**. Play an active role in the internal and external assessment of learners.
**4**. Assess and moderate learners’ assignments, working closely with the Foundation’s Lead IV to ensure the standards of work meet the expectations of the awarding body.
**5.** Effectively monitor student progress during their studies, developing action plans where learner standards do not meet the expected standards.
**7**. Maintain current data and records for course participants in line with the expectations of the funding provider and in line with GDPR.
**8**. Monitor and evaluate the project in line with the Foundation’s impact reporting framework and expectations set by the funding provider.
**9**. Work with the Post-16 Education team to celebrate success and showcase the achievements of our beneficiaries.
**10.** Coordinate the IQA process and work with exam boards and funders to register students for exams.

**General**

**10**. Undertake any relevant training as required by the Line Manager or in line with the expectations of the funding provider.
**11**. Represent the Foundation in meetings at the request of the Line Manager or Senior Management Team.
**12**. Play an active role in the recruitment and retention of students on programme.
**13.** Provide a positive and stimulating learning environment for all learners on the programme.
**14**. Promote company values and behaviours across the organisation.
**15**. Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the work environment and relationships.
**16.** Champion the highest safeguarding standards in line with company policies and practice guidelines.
**17**. Carry out any additional work or duties as required that meet the needs of the organisation.

**Key Relationships**

**Internal**: All Community Foundation Staff and Trustees.
**External**: Cardiff City FC Staff, Fitzalan High School, English Football League Trust, other external training or education providers

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 11 months

**Salary**: £24,150.00-£27,300.00 per year
