About the Job
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join our Food and Water Division; the area of focus will be decanter centrifuges. The role will be ideally based within our Camberley office, however; hybrid working opportunities are available.
The main responsibilities include:
- Provision of technical support to the Customers as well as within the company - to Sales team, Field Service, Service Operations etc.
- Preparation of quotations, Service Agreements, including appropriate pricing in accordance with guidelines.
- Customers remote support.
- Identifying Customer’s needs and business opportunities in spare parts and field service sales.
- Coordination of maintenance and repair works.
- Supervision of orders execution, cooperation with Customer Service and Field Service.
- Visiting customers to discuss technical aspects and to support the existing installations.
- Analysis of incoming reports to identify service issue and solution development.
- Technical support of the equipment commissioning, maintenance.
- Troubleshooting product and process related issues.
- Cooperation with sub suppliers and contractors.
You will be expected to spend 30-50% of your time out of the office, attending key sites and meetings, travel will be UK based.
Who You Are
In addition to a high level of technical competence, you are a driven individual with a can-do attitude. You will be comfortable working in a customer centric team and motivated by customer relations, results and continuous improvement. You have good verbal and written communication skills plus you have good attention to detail. You have organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
What You Know
- You have a Mechanical Engineering qualification - Practical experience in Decanter Centrifuges, Thickening equipment operation/service would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Electrical Circuits, Motors and Starting Systems, associated equipment.
- Basic process knowledge (Waste water treatment, dewatering and thickening, separation theory).
- Experience using CRM.
- You have proficient IT skills and confident using new systems.
- Full Driving licence.
