**All Wales People First**
All Wales People First is the united voice of self-advocacy groups for people with learning disabilities in Wales.
We are unique in Wales, being the only organisation that is led by men and women with a learning disability.

**Location**: The role will require travelling to and working from locations across Wales. For most of the time the post holder will be expected to work from home.
**Hours**: 3 days per week (22.5 hrs) to include Mondays and Tuesdays, some overnight stays and unsociable hours

**Events & Engagement Assistant**
This is a new role created to provide our management team and members with support organising and attending events.
We want to appoint a self-motivated, resourceful person with experience of providing both administrative and in-person support.
- Salary £26,873 FTE (£16,341.69 pro rata).
- 22.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Wednesday.
- We have a flexible working policy.
- A pan-Wales post, home based with some travel across Wales.

**Main Duties**
**1. Member Engagement**
- Support members of All Wales People First at meetings and events.
- Support members of All Wales People First to travel to meetings and events.
- To prepare members to represent All Wales People First at meetings and events.
- Minute taking for various meetings.

**2. Events**
- Finding, getting quotes and booking venues for member meetings and events.
- Researching travel options and informing members.
- Supporting members to complete expense claims.
- Booking train/travel tickets for members.
- Booking hotels for members attending meetings and events.
- Assist with the organisation of AWPF annual festival, AdFest, to make sure it is accessible to members.
- Assist the AWPF staff team to deliver AdFest through member and administrative support.
- Assist with organising Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings.

**3. Information**
- Producing Easy Read documents for the purpose of information, consultation and member engagement.
- Assist in the distribution of National Council papers tomembers.
- Assist in running exhibition/information stalls on behalf of All Wales People First at events if required.

**Additional Information**
As the public face of All Wales People First the Chief Executive will represent men and women with learning disabilities across Wales. Because of this, the Chief Executive is a person who hasexperience of using learning disability services.
You will be provided with home office equipment such as a desk,chair, computer, printer and mobile phone. You will also be paid £26.00 per month home office allowance.
Hours can be worked flexibly, in line with our organisation’s flexibleworking policy.

**Interviews being held Monday 25th March in Cardiff.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
