An opportunity has become available for a practitioner to join our Growing Healthy 0-19 Infant Feeding team in Sunderland, this is fixed term until end June 2025. We are looking for an applicant who has extensive experience working with children and families in health or early years setting, including experience of supporting the infant feeding and nutrition agenda, delivering health promotion / training to groups and individuals.

The practitioner will work under the guidance of the Infant Feeding Lead to provide tailored support to mothers and families; the practitioner will have advanced experience to support mothers and families in their infant feeding journey, and work with existing local services to provide a service of seamless support.

The practitioner will have the relevant skills and knowledge to provide individualised infant feeding support, guidance and education and in having sensitive conversations to deliver consistent health and wellbeing information, making every contact count. The role will also entail delivery of infant feeding training, and supporting the completion of the audit requirements for UNICEF accreditation.

Access to personal transport and being a driver is essential in order to meet service needs.
