About the role

We are looking to recruit 2 x Network Service Operator to be based in the Tayside/Perthshire area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and flexible individual to join a high performing team of experienced Field Customer Response NSO's who thrive on providing excellent customer service across Scotland.

Our Field Response team within Tayside are responsible for preventing, investigating and resolving all customer related issues. Our vision is to deliver our service effectively and efficiently whilst ensuring we deliver the best service to customers with minimum disruption in the safest manner.

Key Accountabilities/Tasks

Working as part of the Field Response team you will:
This role represents Scottish Water in our response to all customer enquiries, ensuring quick decisive decision making that result in resolution of the issue with mínimal disruption and also complying with processes and legislation. The role also has a responsibility to maintain and protect the quality and integrity of Scottish Waters existing and new assets

You will be expected to use all modern leak detection equipment to support rapid response to help deliver repairs within 48 hours.

Be required to comply with Scottish Water health & safety policies and with statutory obligations

Knowledge of our DOMS policies and procedures with an understanding of the hygiene code of practice.

To be successful in the appointment of this role it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
Have a full understanding of the water and waste water network

Be able to listen, empathise and assist customers to help best resolve the problems experienced.

You will ensure that all work complies with the relevant H&S process and work practices to eliminate or minimise risks to health, safety and welfare of themselves, other employees and the general public who come in contact with their site works

You will be confident in difficult situations, be personable and have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills

You will be able to manage difficult situations, work effectively as part of a team and have proficient IT skills

Ability to work as an individual and as a team member, manage assigned workloads with minimum supervision and work to critical deadlines.

A full, valid driver’s license, have NRSWA, DOMS and HCOP to operator level are also key requirements for the role.

To be successful in the appointment of our NSO role you will be able to demonstrate customer focus and have strong communication, recording and reporting skills. You will be a confident problem solver and able to follow up on queries. You will also be able to confidently maintain internal and external working relationships.

Desirable:
Whilst training is provided to the successful applicant it would be desirable if you had the following skills/knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Water (Scotland) Act 1980 and Sewerage (Scotland) Act 1968 and NRSWA 1990- Knowledge of Scottish Waters Code of Practice, Health and Safety at Work 1974, Sewer Hygiene code of practiceSalesforce, Dynamics/ ESRI/Geofield, Microsoft Office Packages- Understanding of water and waste water networks, technical plans, drawings and sections.

As this role is predominantly field based you must have a full current driving licence and participate in an out of hour’s standby rota.

Salary Range - £24,741.00 - £35,566.00 (Depending on skills and experience)
