**Oracle / MYSQL DBA - About the Company**:
My client is expanding and undergoing significant transformation across the group and have created a new role within their team for a DBA with skills in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and T-SQL experience.

**Oracle /MYSQL DBA - About the role**:
The role is focused on designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining databases systems and also supporting business systems for a managed services and telecommunications business using both commercial software and home-grown platforms. The role willsupport Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, database technologies.

The role will work in a small team with the Public Cloud department but be based from home, with occasional team meetings when required.

In addition, the role will entail ETL and data cleansing activities during transformation phases, during which time the role holder will act as part of an agile team migrating products and services from M&A activities from source systems into the Group’starget architecture.

You will be responsible for routine duties to do with the support and administration of the company’s SQL Server & MySQL databases.

Look after the day-to-day database requirements, such as administration, security, and maintenance of databases and business-critical systems.

Some responsibility for writing management reports.

**DBA - Key Responsibilities**:
Customise, design, administer, installation and configuration of Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL databases

Designs, builds, and configures appropriate database systems, tables, procedures, indexes, and maintenance tasks to support business requirements

Support system transformation activities (migrating data from legacy to target platforms)

Manage data transformations (export, transform, load)

Implement robust backup and restore procedures

Produce and maintain accurate documentation to support implementations, while maintaining best practice

**DBA- Essential Technical Skills**:
Solid experience of configuring Oracle and Microsoft Databases ( MySQL)

Understanding of relational data modelling - ETL Process

T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Scripting experience

Preference for some understanding of Data Warehouse principles

Experience of installation, configuration, administration, back-up and capacity planning of Databases

Backups, performance tuning, optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting databases.

Shell scripting (Unix) and PowerShell experience

Some programming skills will be of interest and any experience of working with SSIS.

A strong background in data management and analytics is also of interest.
