**Job description**:
As a Project Support Officer within RPA, you will be supporting a Project Manager to deliver a range of projects. This could entail some aspects of a small project; a specific work stream from a medium project; or a specific component of a project within a theme.

You will work in the end-to-end development and delivery of a project(s), working to ensure that they are implemented on time and within budget, in line with the requirements of relevant Gateway standards.

You will support one or more aspects of the project process, including recording deliverables and key milestones, recording risks and issues, recording mitigation activities and controls, supporting development of project plans.

**Person specification**:

- Supporting the successful delivery of one or more projects/work streams to a plan including monitoring of critical project milestones.
- Working with the Project Manager/s to support development of detailed aims and objectives and a clear project scope, with a considered timeline for delivery.
- Holding accountability for supporting the development of relevant grading documentation and supporting stakeholder reviews.
- Organising and supporting various governance meetings, managing, recording, and updating actions. Requesting updates of actions prior to meetings and ensuring all papers are received and distributed as appropriate.
- Through the design, development, and implementation phases of the project, supporting the identification of solutions to problems and issues and providing assistance to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to ensure these are delivered and the project is successfully completed.
- Supporting the Project Manager/s in preparing and maintaining appropriate project documentation e.g., drafting clear convincing business cases, project plans (including phase, stage and exception plans as necessary) etc.
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with the project stakeholders, users, technology groups and vendors during all stages of the project lifecycle and supporting implementation. Working closely with all internal and external stakeholders to the project with the Project Manager in their engagement with Directors to provide recommendations that will influence their decisions and ensure successful delivery of the project objectives.
- Supporting and maintaining project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependency logs, including their escalation where appropriate and ensuring lessons learned are documented and logged with the Programme Management Office following the project go live.
- Deputising for the SEO or G7 Project Manager during periods of leave.
- Commissioning and supporting development of regular reporting with stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems.
