- Gi Group is currently recruiting for an Export Logistics Coordinator for a world-renowned company in the steel industry.
- Essential duties and responsibilities:
- You will be the main point of contact for all customers, vendors and departments in a timely manner to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Tracking shipments, arrange freight forwarding services and updating customers on expected arrival times.
- Negotiate rates and service contracts with transportation providers.
- Handle invoices, certificates of origin and packing lists.
- Review customer orders and shipping requirements to determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method.
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and alterative quotations received.
- Monitor changes in export regulations.
- Train new members of staff on export procedures and documentation requirements.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide support to the admin/ sales teams when required.- Minimum 1-year experience in supply chain logistic operations or the equivalent is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the logistic operations industry.
- Able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good team player with great interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work in a busy work environment and work well under pressure.
- Be able to prioritise workload.
