Food & Beverage at the zoo includes a variety of restaurants, serving everything from fast food to traditional family favourites, a Gastro-pub, as well as coffee shops, kiosks our staff canteen and a 450-seat street kitchen serving Indonesian inspired street food.

**The Role**

You will:

**Provide crucial support to the Food & Beverage Supervisor to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of your unit
- Ensure the team are trained, empowered & fully committed to providing an excellent experience to every visitor every day through training and motivation
- Make sure your unit is looking world class, and fully stocked to meet visitor expectations every day
- Act as a role model to the front of house team, by delivering excellent customer service to every visitor

**The Package**

You’ll be working a variety of shifts, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. Hours of work will generally be during our core zoo opening hours, although evening work will be required for special events such as ‘Into the night’ and ‘The Lanterns’.

**Our Requirements**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as you will be working with large groups of people on a daily basis, whether liaising with the public, suppliers or colleagues at all levels
- A confident trainer, able to support, coach and motivate others in a variety of areas
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience of cash handling, stock management and completing compliance documentation
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as EPOS systems
