**Network Liaison Officer**

**Pay Band: 7**

**Salary**:Starting £30,839 (+ £3,300 market allowance if based in London)

**Role Purpose**

To provide high quality communications for internal and external audiences on behalf of the GES team.
To provide high quality commercial, analytical, and logístical support across the GES team to ensure the commercial manager, sector leads, account managers and business pursiot roles fulfil their roles effectively.

**Context**

The English and Examinations Strategic Business Unit (E&E) is one of three strategic business units in the British Council (the others being Arts and Education & Society) all of which have the remit to build trust for the people of the UK. E&E achieves this by enabling people across the world to access the life
- changing education and work opportunities that are created by learning English or gaining valuable UK qualifications.

Global Exams Services is the second biggest part of the exams business after IELTS. Annually we deliver just under 2,000,000 exams for over 140 awarding organisations. We deliver exams for clients in four main areas, (Schools, Professional, English & University), and are moving increasingly into the Technology Enabled Assessment (TEA) space going forward.

This role will provide crucial commercial and administrative support to the Global Exams Services team in the UK, as well as colleagues working to deliver these exams across the globe.

You will be expected to work closely with the following senior stakeholders:

- Head of Global Exams Services
- Head of Commercial & Business Development
- Head of School Exams
- Head of Professional, University & English Exams
- Head of Exams Marketing - Assessment and Exams Services

**Main accountabilities**
- Develops high quality internal and external communications such as regular newsletters, activity updates and bulletins.
- Maintains and develops internal and external websites by creating high quality, relevant and up to date content and getting such content published through the relevant support teams.
- Supports senior managers with meeting minutes, agendas, and calendar management.
- Responds to awarding body enquiries and manage external mailboxes in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Independently sets up and runs internal webinars for global exams colleagues to communicate a range of key commercial processes, standards, policies and Awarding Body requirements.
- Understands the use of British Council systems to complete financial tasks such as raising Purchase Orders, Sales Orders and Credit Notes, and able to support team in such activities.
- Works with clients and internal teams to ensure invoicing and payment processes operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Manages data collection, management, and analysis to support account management and business pursuit functions.
- Builds effective working relationships with a variety of SBU and regional colleagues, and uses a range of information-gathering techniques, to maintain a full and current understanding of product developments and priorities.
- Contributes to the planning, monitoring, execution, and evaluation of promotional, marketing, PR and outreach collateral/activities within their area of product / programme / customer / market focus.
- Plans and prioritises own work activities to ensure effective delivery of diverse responsibilities and internal customer deliverables over a monthly to quarterly time horizon.
