**Who we are**

We’re Causeway, the UK-wide charity who believes in the power of lasting change. We take people from existing to living, and empower our service users, including survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. Since 2005, we have expanded across multiple regions and now provide accommodation and outreach support to hundreds of survivors of modern slavery every year. Since 2018, we’ve been collaborating with organisations such as Merseyside Police, South Yorkshire Police, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service as part of our LifeNavigate department. This department uses a trauma-informed approach to achieve our goal of breaking the cycle of crime. LifeNavigate is made up of 4 programmes; The Deferred Prosecution Scheme (MDPS) which works to support low level offenders of crime to avoid further criminality; ReFocus, which aims to support and signpost individuals who a motivation to change after being identified for potential low level Domestic Abuse; Immediate Justice, which incorporates restorative justice practices to combat antisocial behaviors and Plan B, which offers those in custody suites across SY support and advocacy to positively change the direction of their lives.

**Role Summary**

**How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Conferencing Facilitator within the Life Navigate project within Causeway. **Immediate Justice** is a scheme funded by the Department of Levelling-Up for Homes and Communities that will focus on reducing anti-social behaviours and building community cohesion. As part of the Immediate Justice pilot in Merseyside, you will work with Merseyside Police, the Probation Service and other partners to ensure that the victims voice is heard throughout. You will make contact with victims within 2 days of the offender being directed to complete any reparative work or the ASB Awareness course; and offer information and support to allow victims to cope and recover after being victims of anti-social behaviour (ASB). As part of your contact with victims, you will signpost them on to support services; as well as providing feedback on any reparative work undertaken by the offender.
