Greenock, United Kingdom Moving On Inverclyde Full time

**About us**

**Moving On Inverclyde** is a registered charity based in Greenock.

Established in 2002, we provide support to individuals and their families impacted by problematic substance use (Drugs and Alcohol). Anyone over 18 can access our programme and gain the skills and resources to begin and maintain their recovery journey through a variety of options including group work, individual key work sessions, one to one's and peer led activities including SMART meetings and health and wellbeing activities.

Our Recovery programme has provided opportunities for many people in Inverclyde to rebuild their lives and reengage with their local community. Alongside our experienced staff team, our volunteers also facilitate peer led additional support and this is encouraged through our comprehensive training options.

Now recognised as a specialist service, we are proud to be a Centre of Excellence facilitating long term recovery pathways.

Moving On Inverclyde provides a 4-phase modular programme of recovery, from Early Intervention through to additional ongoing aftercare support. The Recovery Project Worker will manage their own caseload who they will individually key work, and will support them throughout their recovery journey with Moving On. This is achieved using a process of recovery planning and review alongside each service user and engagement in group sessions, one to one's peer led activities and additional health and wellbeing options including auricular acupunture, yoga, gym passes and access to community partners.

Recovery Project Workers will share responsibilities for delivering the 4 phases of the programme and individual workers may take a lead or focus on delivery of particular phases or therapeutic interventions.

We are in an exciting position at Moving On where we are launching new areas in addition to our core recovery programme, for which we are looking for experience or an understanding - this includes supporting **Families** alongside and separately to the individual, **Community Justice** support where we will manage offending and recovery needs together, and also development of **Partnerships** for service user transitions to positive destinations.

Ideally you will have a minimum SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Health and Social Services and have experience in supporting individuals with problematic substance use, whether through employment or lived experience. You will have experience of managing your own time and be able to work under pressure with competing priorities.

**Person specification**
- Experience of supporting individuals with problematic substance use
- Knowledge of supporting individuals and families with complex needs
- Experience of Criminal justice services and interventions
- Experience of using tools to assess support needs
- Experience of delivering therapeutic group-based interventions
- Experience of planning, providing, and reviewing individual person-centred support
- Experience of record-keeping in relation to needs of service
- Knowledge of national and local policy and standards frameworks relating to health and social care; and substance use in particular

**Personal attributes**
- Able to manage and organise own workload
- Able to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Values focused
- Committed to finding solutions

These roles are rewarding as well as challenging, and you will receive a full induction and relevant training to support your development and ability to do the role.

Contract length: 12 months
