We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our Raedwald Day Surgery Unit Team as a Stores & Equipment Coordinator at Ipswich Hospital.

We are looking for you to have experience in stock control and have an interest in the operating suite environment. You will be provided with on the job training and support.

You will be computer literate and be able to work on your own initiative as well as a team player.

In this role you will lead and coordinate the ordering and distribution of equipment and supplies for the unit. The unit is a purpose built day surgery area which consists of wards, theatres and recovery. You will work alongside clinical and non-clinical members of staff within the day surgery unit and link with our sterile service and decontamination department.

You will catalogue and file orders and requests, monitor and prepare instruments/consumable for theatre lists and across the unit and report any stock deficiencies or faults. In this role you will be lifting and carrying equipment, including putting away deliveries to ensure stock is rotated.

If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge then we are keen to hear from you.
- To lead and coordinate the ordering and distribution of SDS/stores/other supplies and undertake delegated tasks related to stores ordering/stock control across the unit (wards, theatres and recovery).
- To work collaboratively within the MDT, procurement, SDS and other providers to maintain a robust stores/SDS system/clinical documentation system.
- To undertake other delegated duties in relation to the infection control programme.
- To support the Clinical Lead in the budgetary control of stores.
- To assist the unit pharmacy lead in the management of pharmacy deliveries.
- Support the designated theatres equipment controller in the purchase and ordering of disposables.
- To participate in the development of tracking/monitoring systems.
