**Job Title**:Project Coordinator / Youth Worker**

**We are recruiting for a talented and passionate Youth Worker to join our team**

**Experience and Person Spec**

The individual will have working knowledge and understanding of the ethics and principles of youth work, including strategies that encourage and promote the empowerment and participation of young people. The individual will have a strong commitment to young people and a thorough knowledge of the issues they face. You will gain an in depth understanding of our fantastic Theory of Change which supports young people to develop positive relationships.

Ideally educated to NVQ Level 2 or above (or equivalent) in Youth or Community work, or substantial experience.

You should have previous experience of working with children, young people and their families, and ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working directly with young people. Awareness of safeguarding, health and safety and data protection practices, good computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

**What do you get in return?**

**Salary**: £NMW - £26,000 DOE (pro rata)

Days/Hours of work: 18 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work will be required, and residentials (with notice).

Location: Office base in Knowsley. Travel required throughout the Liverpool City Region - use of own transport is required; travel costs will be reimbursed.

Benefits: 25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays (pro rata), NEST Pension scheme, Employee Wellbeing Programme, On-site Parking.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
